Remote Learning Plan

Remote Learning Information

In the event that a remote learning day is called, students will participate in asynchronous instruction. Asynchronous instruction means that students will complete lessons and assignments on their own schedule, rather than in real-time with a teacher. While there will be no live class sessions, all assignments and materials will be provided, and students are expected to work independently to complete the tasks for the day.

If you experience any connectivity issues or difficulties with completing the work, please remember that according to CCS School Board Policy, students have up to five (5) days to submit their assignments upon returning to school. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility with remote learning.

Specific instructions for your school's remote learning plan are as follows:

To ensure that you stay on track with both high school and college classes, be sure to do the following:

  • Log on to Canvas AND visit each teachers' page to read announcements and complete assignments.

  • Check StudentSquare throughout the day for messages and updates.

  • Reach out to your college instructors (via email) if you have a seated class that you will miss today.

  • Check the RCCC website for any updates on whether or not they are in session.  ECHS staff will not be present on campus, so if you decide to attend any RCCC classes that are in session, you will be unsupervised.

  • Log on to Blackboard to check each class for assignments that you can complete remotely.

  • Attendance for remote learning days is based on completing the assignment for the day.  If the assignment is not completed within 5 days of our return to in person learning, the student will be marked absent for the remote learning day.
