Dr. Brown has been an educator for over twenty years and has served families in Early College programs in various roles for roughly eight years.  She is a servant leader who inspires students and staff to reach their potential and push beyond their comfort level to excellence.  Dr. Brown's previous experience includes Math Teacher (K-12 & post-secondary), College Liaison, and educator at Western Governors University (edTPA evaluator, instructor practitioner, & senior manager).  She currently serves as a grant reviewer for US Department of Education.   

Dr. Brown received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, her Masters in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University, and her Bachelor’s in Mathematics from South Carolina State University.   Additionally, she is a business owner, author and sits on the board of directors for non-profit organizations in the Concord and Charlotte communities.  

Dr. Brown has been married for fifteen years and has three daughters.  She enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, crafting, and traveling.

Mrs. Perez's journey into education began in 2015 as a 6th-grade science and Robotics teacher in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. In 2019, Mrs. Perez moved to Cabarrus County schools in the same role at C.C. Griffin STEM Middle School until she moved into the role of Assistant Principal in 2021. Mrs. Perez strives to work with all to ensure that all students have access to rigorous and balanced instruction to prepare them for college, career, and life. In her free time, Mrs. Perez loves to spend time with her husband, Cris, daughter, Phoebe, and her two dogs, Benny and Winnie!
