ECHS Clubs

  • The Acting & Film Club is a creative space for students interested in acting, directing, scriptwriting, and filmmaking. Members collaborate on various projects, including short films, skits, and stage performances, learning about the intricacies of production, editing, and acting techniques. The club also hosts workshops, screenings, and discussions on classic and contemporary films.

  • The Beta Club is an academic honors program with a strong emphasis on community service. Members are recognized for their academic achievements and are committed to developing leadership skills and serving others. The club organizes and participates in various volunteer activities, fundraisers, and service projects, fostering a sense of civic duty and altruism among students.

  • The Black Student Union (BSU) is dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, unity, and empowerment among Black students. The club provides a safe space for discussing issues affecting the Black community, celebrating Black culture, and advocating for social justice. Members participate in educational events, cultural celebrations, and community service projects. (not a Friday Club)

  • The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a national organization that prepares students for careers in business and entrepreneurship. Members participate in workshops, competitions, and conferences that cover various business topics such as management, marketing, finance, and leadership. The club helps students develop essential professional skills and network with business leaders.

  • The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is an interdenominational Christian sports ministry for students who are athletes or interested in sports. The club provides a space for members to combine their passion for sports with their faith. FCA meetings often include prayer, Bible studies, discussions, and fellowship activities. The club encourages members to develop strong character, integrity, and leadership skills, both on and off the field. FCA also participates in service projects and outreach activities, promoting a positive and supportive environment for athletes and non-athletes alike. (not a Friday Club)

  • Model United Nations (Model UN) is a simulation of the UN General Assembly and other multilateral bodies. In this club, students take on the roles of delegates from different countries and work together to solve global issues. They research, debate, and negotiate on topics such as international security, human rights, and environmental protection, honing their public speaking, critical thinking, and diplomacy skills.

  • The Music Club is a community for students who share a love for music. Members can explore various musical interests, from playing instruments and singing to composing and producing music. The club organizes performances, jam sessions, and workshops, allowing students to showcase their talents, collaborate with peers, and learn from guest musicians and instructors.

  • The News Committee is responsible for producing the school's news content, including a newspaper, newsletter, or broadcast. Members work as reporters, editors, photographers, and designers to cover school events, student achievements, and important issues. The club provides an opportunity for students to develop their journalistic skills and keep the school community informed. (not a Friday Club).

  • SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Clubs are a place for young people across the country to show their leadership, creativity and passion for protecting their friends, schools and communities BEFORE it happens. (not a Friday Club)

  • The Sewing Club provides a welcoming environment for students to learn and practice sewing skills. Members work on a variety of projects, from simple repairs and alterations to creating their own garments and accessories. The club also explores different techniques such as embroidery, quilting, and knitting, and often participates in community service by crafting items for charitable causes.

  • The Student Council (StuCo) is a student-led organization that represents the student body and works to improve the school community. Members plan and coordinate events, such as dances, fundraisers, and spirit weeks, and act as a liaison between students and school administration. StuCo members develop leadership skills and learn the importance of civic engagement and responsibility.

  • The Yearbook Club is responsible for creating the school's annual yearbook. Members work on various aspects of the publication, including photography, layout design, writing, and editing. The club provides a great opportunity for students to develop their creative skills, collaborate on a large-scale project, and document the memories of the school year.

  • The Youth Commission International (YCI) club is a student-led Christian organization that aims to encourage and equip students in their faith journey. It provides a supportive community for students to share their faith, grow spiritually, and engage in prayer, Bible study, and worship. The club often organizes events such as devotionals, community service projects, and outreach programs, seeking to make a positive impact within the school and the broader community. YCI promotes values of compassion, service, and leadership among its members. (not a Friday Club)
