Here's this week's edition of The Friday Five 🖐️

#1 February is National CTE Month

February is National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and we’re proud to celebrate the incredible opportunities CTE provides for our students!

In the 2024-25 school year, nearly 13,000 middle and high school students in Cabarrus County participated in CTE courses while exploring 52 different career pathways that are aligned with industries in the greater Cabarrus and Charlotte Metro region.

CTE programs connect classroom learning to real-world skills—helping students explore careers, earn industry credentials, and gain hands-on experience that prepares them for college, the workforce, or both. From healthcare and public safety to skilled trades, technology, and business, CTE opens doors and builds confidence for life beyond graduation.

We are grateful for our dedicated teachers, community partners, and local employers who make these opportunities possible—and for our students who show up every day ready to learn, lead, and grow.

This month, we celebrate how CTE helps students discover their passions, develop practical skills, and build strong futures. 💙🛠️🎓
